Winner Announcement Prize Distribution

### Concluding the DEF CON 25 Recon Village CTF At 00:03, the organizers of the Recon Village open the closing ceremonies and prize distribution for the inaugural Recon Village Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Capture The Flag (CTF) competition. The organizers express immense gratitude to the hundreds of participants who competed, noting that the remarkable turnout and competitive energy exceeded all expectations for the village's first official CTF event.

### Celebrating Top Teams and Scoreboard Standings At 03:40 and 07:50, the organizers display the final competition scoreboard and announce the top-performing teams. They celebrate the podium finishers—including teams "Proprietary Data," "Nosey Parkers," "STFU Darling," and "4815162342"—commending their technical tenacity, analytical precision, and collaborative problem-solving across intense rounds of open-source reconnaissance challenges.

### Reviewing Challenging OSINT Puzzles and Methodology At 11:15, the presentation recaps the diverse challenge categories designed for the CTF. The organizers review complex scenarios that tested competitors' intelligence-gathering capabilities: geolocating obscure physical landmarks from cropped photographs, tracking hidden operational personas across social media networks, inspecting EXIF metadata and hidden document properties, and identifying concealed indicators across public corporate filings.

### Sponsor Recognition and Prize Distribution At 14:00 and 15:34, the organizers distribute prizes to the winning teams, presenting hardware gear from Hak5, software-defined radio equipment, specialized commercial training vouchers, and commemorative Recon Village challenge coins. They extend sincere appreciation to the industry sponsors and volunteer infrastructure engineers whose generous support made the competition possible.

### Looking Ahead to Future Recon Village Initiatives Concluding the ceremony, the village coordinators thank the broader DEF CON community for welcoming the Recon Village into the conference family. They invite participants to provide constructive feedback on challenge design, encourage competitors to author public write-ups of their investigative methodologies, and pledge to expand CTF infrastructure and educational workshops for upcoming DEF CON events.
